OEG Energy Group Limited (“OEG”, the “Group”), a leading offshore solutions business, announces the appointment of David Carr as its new Chief Commercial Officer (“CCO”) effective today.
In the role of Chief Commercial Officer David will sit on the Group executive committee and will lead the development of new integrated product and service offerings within the Offshore and Renewables divisions and across the Group, using his significant international expertise to further globalise our value proposition to clients. David will also be responsible for the continued development of the Group’s commercial systems, exploring new business models to offer integrated solutions, while ensuring the highest standards of governance.
David Carr joins OEG having been Senior VP International at Helix Energy Solutions based in the UK and the USA. Prior to this David was VP Oilfield Services at Bumi Armada in Malaysia where he was responsible for building a new business unit, developing detailed new product concepts which included a heavy well intervention vessel and subsea well intervention system. Earlier in his career he has held senior roles with Weatherford, including as Asia Pacific Region Director for Well Construction based in Kuala Lumpa, Malaysia, and also with Baker Hughes and Schlumberger. He holds an MBA from Heriot Watt in Edinburgh, a 1st Class BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Salford and is also a Board Trustee for Activate Learning Education Trust.
